    Euphorbia capitulata is a rare Balkan endemic, growing in limestone screes and on rocky slopes at high altitude, (950–)1600–2800 m. In Greece it is known only from Chelmos, Giona and Olimbos. It is a small, procumbent plant with creeping stems. The inflorescence (cyathium) is solitary, terminal, and unusual by having 8 rather than 5 glands.A
