    Notes

Based on morphological, karyological and molecular differentiation (Vit & al. 2017), Balkan tetraploids of the A. glutinosa complex have recently been described as a separate species, A. rohlenae, known to occur in Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and northwestern Greece (NPi, SPi) and said to grow abundant along the Sperchios river in StE. Since no Greek localities are cited by the authors and as long as the sympatric distribution of the new taxon with diploid A. glutinosa in Greece is unsettled, we prefer to treat the former as a synonym of the latter.
