    Rosa pendulina is one of c. 16 species of roses in Greece. It occurs in mountains of C & S Europe, in Greece scattered in the N mainland, generally at 1200–1800 m. Rosa pendulina is a low shrub, almost unarmed in the upper part of the stem, with deep rose-pink petals and a narrow hypanthium with subentire, persistent sepals.A
