    On an excursion to Samos with the Lund Botanical Society in the spring of 2017Arne Strid collected a small, annual Silene which turned out to be the rare Silene fuscata which in Greece had been recorded only from Kriti and Kerkira. This is the first record of the species from the floristic region of East Aegean.
