    Notes

The species was given as present in Pe, based on an old record by Heldreich from the island of Egina (cited under Centaurea melitensis L. for “Gr” in Hayek 1931: 792–793). Island of Egina, 37°44'N, 23°29'E. According to Vallianatou (2005: 276), Heldreich found this species in four different localities in Egina; it was reported to be rare and there is no recent confirmation. – An old record from WAe (Evvia, Mt Kandili near Psachna; Beauverd & Topali 1938: 134) is queried by Rechinger (1944: 668).
