Placement status: name or taxon excluded (unspecific) (Erroneously given for Greece based on a Sibthorp specimen of uncertain origin (see Halácsy 1902: 34). Davis (1975: 101) cited a specimen collected by Charrel, supposedly on the island of Rhodos. L. Charrel, also known as Abd-ur-Rahman Nadji, collected in Chalkidiki and around Thessaloniki and Edessa c. 1888-1891, and is not known to have visited Rhodos. The species has not been confirmed in Rhodos or elsewhere in Greece.)
