Notes

D. pusilla has been used as the correct name for this species since the publication of the Nova genera et species plantarum (Kunth 1815-1825). In this work, D. biflora is mentioned as a synonym. However, Roemer & Schultes validly published D. biflora one year earlier, using the name proposed by Willdenow on the sample deposited in Berlin.
