Trichilieae

Description

Leaves usually pinnate, rarely trifoliolate or unifoliolate. Plants dioecious or flowers hermaphrodite. Staminal tube usually complete or filaments partially connate, rarely free; anthers nearly always inserted apically on margin of staminal tube or on filaments. Fruit a capsule, berry or drupe. Seed usually arillate or with sarcotesta, usually without endosperm; cotyledons usually collateral.

Distribution

Pantropical present
Eleven or twelve genera, pantropical.
