Description

Tree, 6-25 m high, dbh 10-75 cm, low buttressed, outer bark patchy grey to dark grey to brown to green, (moderately) smooth except for the fine cracking and stippling, scrape red-brown, inner bark fibrous, cream. Branchlets rough to smooth, greenish brown to greyish brown; Leaves 1-4-jugate; Inflorescences axillary, paniculate, 10.5-17.5 cm long, laxly puberulous; Flowers 4-5 mm in diam. Sepals: Petals obo-vate, 1.2-1.5 by 1-1.5 mm, outside pilose only at the base, inside pilose towards the base; Stamens 8; Ovary c. 2 mm high, laxly sericeous towards the style; Fruits reniform to depressed globose, 1.7-2.5 by 2-2.5 cm; Seeds obovoid, 1-1.3 by 0.8-1 mm;
