Description

Glabrous lianas, with hooks. Leaves distichously arranged. Stipules simple, entire or dentate, often covered with resin. Flowers in fascicles in the axils of (often fallen) leaves, rarely solitary, heterodis-tylous. Sepals free, unequal. Petals very thin. Ovary 3(-4)-loculed; Seed ventrally attached, arillate.
