Description

Treelet, 5-8 m high. Branchlets sericeous when young; Leaves 2-5-jugate; Inflorescences axillary, branching basally and along the terete to flattened, sericeous, 1.6-8.2 cm long axis; Flowers c. 2 mm in diam. Sepals 5, ovate, margin pilose, outside and inside glabrous; Petals 5, very reduced, elliptic, 0.8-1.2 by 0.3-0.4 mm; Stamens 8; Fruits with 1-3 well developed lobes, 0.7-0.9 by 0.7-1.3 cm, smooth to somewhat rugose-ruminate, glabrous, red when fresh, blackish when dry; Seeds obovoid, 5-6.4 by 4-4.8 mm;

Ambon present, Asia-Tropical: Maluku (Maluku present), Bum present, Ceram present, Obi present
Malesia: Moluccas(Ambon, Bum, Ceram, Obi).

Uses

Wood is used for the construction of houses.
