Description
Glabrous.
Leaves opposite; lamina narrowly ovate to ovate, 5-13 by 2-6 cm, cuneate at the base to a petiole 6-16 mm long, weakly attenuate and shortly rounded or obtuse at the apex, dull on both sides or darker and slightly lustrous above; venation pinnate with the midrib visible and other veins obscure on both sides.
Inflorescences at the nodes, a 2- to 6-flowered capitate spike; axis c. 1 mm long; bracts 1.5-2.5 mm long, concave; flowers hermaphrodite.
