Leaves imparipinnate, very rarely paripinnate, petioled.
Inflorescences axillary, paniculate, sometimes the ♀ racemose or spiciform.
Flowers often unisexual (plants often dioecious).
Petals 5 (rarely 4 or 6), imbricate.
Stamens 10 (rarely 8-12), twice the number of petals;
Ovary 5-12-celled;
Seed with testa free from the endocarp;

Species 2 or 3, distributed in the Pacific Is. (Tonga, Cook I., Fiji, Solomon Is.), Australia (Queensland), and Malesia (New Guinea, Moluccas, Lesser Sunda Is., Celebes, Philippines, Borneo).
