Ficus acamptophylla

Description

Tree up to 15 m tall or shrub, hemi-epiphytic, sometimes a climber. internal hairs absent. Leaves spirally arranged; stipules (0.5-)1-1.5(-6) cm long, minutely white puberulous (or glabrous), caducous (or subpersistent). Ovary partly red.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present; Sumatera (Sumatera present), Banka present
Malesia: Sumatra (incl. Banka), Borneo.

Morphology

In Sumatra, the fig receptacle is small (0.5-0.7 cm diam.) and the basal bracts are small as well (c. 2 mm long).
