Description

Leaves: petiole 4-8 cm; petiolules 0.5-1.3 cm; glabrous or partially hairy; leaflets thickly chartaceous, lanceolate or elliptical, 5 — 15 by 2-5 cm, acumen 0.3 — 1.5 cm long, base rounded or cordate, glabrous on both surfaces or slightly hairy on the lower surface, upper surface shiny, olivaceous when dry; nerves 7 — 9( — 15) pairs, looped, at angles of 80-90° with midrib. Flower buds subglobose, ovoid, or pear-shaped, 3-5 mm long. Fruits 2-winged and 2-ridged, nut 1.5-2.5 cm long; wings Ungulate, 3-3.7 cm long, ridges c. 0.5 cm long.

Asia-Tropical: Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present); Sulawesi (Sulawesi present); Sumatera (Sumatera present), Bangka present, W Java present
Malesia: Sumatra, Peninsular Malaysia, Bangka, W Java, Celebes (see note).

Notes

Kubitzki (1969) mentioned for its provenance also Celebes (Sulawesi), but I have seen no collections. Apparently a rare species; there are no collections made after the 1930s.
