Description

Small to medium sized trees, 13-25 m tall. Leaves clustered at end of branches; Inflorescences terminal spikes, 40-110 cm long, pendulous, with 50-60 flowers; Flowers sessile; Fruits ovoid, tetragonous or terete, tapering at both ends, ferrugineous-pulverulent, 7-11 by 4-7.5 by 4.5-7.5 cm. Seeds single, ovoid, 4-5 by 2-3 cm, with longitudinal fissures.

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present (Sabah present, Sarawak present); Philippines (Philippines present), Palawan present
Malesia: Borneo (Sarawak and Sabah), Philippines (Palawan).
