Description

Medium-sized, buttressed tree with flaky bark. Leaf buds, twigs, petioles and panicles +- persistently somewhat scabrid buff pubescent, parts of petals exposed in bud evenly so; Leaves 10-22 by 3.5-8 cm, elliptic-oblong to lanceolate, coriaceous; Stamens 15, in 3 subequal verticils; Panicle to 6 cm long, axillary to ramiflorous, slender, to 2-axillary; Ovary and stylopodium narrowly pyriform, slightly constricted medially;
