Notes

Typical for T. macrocarpa are the large flowers and fruits, and the shorter leaves with revolute margins which dry blackish brown. Some Bornean specimens of T. malayana resemble T. macrocarpa in the lack of indumentum and shape and colour of the dried leaves, however, their fruits and flowers are always smaller than those of T. macrocarpa. Some examples of glabrous T. malayana are: S 41134, 46802; SAN 17572, 41933, 44679.
