Description

Erect shrub, c. 1 m high. Leaves chartaceous, oblanceolate or elliptic, (12-) 16-22 by 5-9.5 cm; Inflorescences near the basal part of the stem, in axils of reduced leaves, simple or rarely with short branches, spiciform, 3-6.5 cm long, puberulous; Stamens in 2 whorls: Capsules unknown.

Malesia: Borneo (Sarawak: 4th Div., Gu-nong Mulu Nat. Park; Kalimantan: Kalteng Prov.); twice collected.

Notes

Closely allied to T. muluensis, from which it cannot be separated in sterile state, but quite different in flower structure: perianth 1.5 cm long, deeply lobed, with broad or suborbicular lobes; 10-12 style lobes; in T. muluensis the perianth is 3.7-4.5 cm long, only lobed halfway, with triangular lobes; 7 style lobes.
