Description

Trees 6-26 m high; Leaves 1-3-jugate; Inflorescences axillary, 3-8 cm long, with or without branches, in fruit 5-13.5 cm long; Sepals triangular to deltoid, 1.7-2.5 by 1-1.8 mm. Petals 1.2-3 by 0.6-1.9 mm, claw 0.4-0.6 mm, outside appressed-hairy up to halfway, margin ciliate, inside appressed-hairy in lower half; Fruits about globular, basally 3-winged, glossy bright red to orange, succulent, very sour, 22 by 20 mm, wall c. 6 mm thick, succulent, ± appressed hairy inside. Seeds black with yellow aril, 11 by 5 mm;
