Opilia

Description

Lianas, sometimes erect shrubs, root parasites; Leaves coriaceous. Flowers bisexual, in axillary racemes, three per bract. Stamens exceeding the perianth. Ovary cylindric to ellipsoid, stigma sessile.

Asia-Tropical: India present; Thailand (Thailand present), Burma present, N. Australia present, Solomon Is present, Tropical Africa present
In tropical Africa 2 spp., O. amentacea also from India through Burma, Thailand, Indochina, and Malesia to the Solomon Is. and N. Australia. .
