Description

Trees, c. 10 m tall, twigs 8-11 mm diam., glabrous. Leaves grouped towards end of branches; Inflorescences terminal; Flowers grouped at extreme tip of rachis, sessile; Fruits unknown.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia endemic), Kedah-Perak border present
Malesia: Endemic to Peninsular Malaysia, known only from the type collection from the Kedah-Perak border.

Notes

This species resembles B. macrostachya closest, but differs in the clustered flowers at the tip of the inflorescence rachis, the broader leaves with entire, not crenate margins, and the abrupt mucro at the apex, rather than a thin long acumen.
