Description
Large lianas.
Leaves digitately compound;
Stamens 4, didynamous, exserted, 5th rudimentary;
Ovary glabrous;
Capsules stipitate, c. 10-20 cm long, narrow oblong, terete to broad-ellipsoid in section, beaked;
Seeds, thin-winged, rectangular.
Distribution
Asia-Tropical: New Guinea present, Australasia: Queensland (Queensland present)
Queensland (1 sp.) and Malesia: New Guinea (3 spp,). .
Notes
In the Campsis-alliance possibly closest related to Pandorea, different by the almost regular flowers, the valvate corolla lobes, the exserted stamens and style, digitate leaves, and cupular disk clasping the base of the ovary.
