Ficus tristaniifolia

Description

Tree small, hemi-epiphytic. internal hairs absent. Leaves spirally arranged; stipules 0.5-1(-1.2) cm long, glabrous, caducous. Ovary partly red.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Borneo present; Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present)
Malesia: Malay Peninsula, Borneo.

Taxonomy

This species is in many features similar to F. spathulifolia. It differs in that not only the tertiary and smaller venation is invisible or nearly so as in F. spathulifolia, but also in the lateral veins both above and beneath.
