    Notes

Lampranthus multiradiatus (Jacq.) N. E. Br. (= Lampranthus roseus (Willd.) Schwantes) is a xenophyte of South African origin, established along the Atlantic coast of W Europe but absent from Greece. An erroneous record of this species for Kik in FoG (under “Lampranthus roseus” misappl.) refers to Malephora purpurocrocea. Populations of this ornamental xenophyte of South African origin naturalized in coastal habitats of the Aegean were preliminary called Lampranthus sp. (cf. roseus) in previous floristic literature (e.g., Raus 1991: 109). However, the species has been recorded from the island of Amorgos (N of Egiali, beach and waste ground near houses, 3 m, 36°54'19"N, 25°58'38"E, 30.10.2014, Biel 14.278, an established ornamental originating from S Africa).
