Pterocephalus perennis forms dense, woody mats on rocky limestone slopes, generally at 800 –2000 m, flowering rather late (July to early September). It is a Greek endemic with subsp. perennis (photo) throughout much of the mainland and subsp. bellidifolius in the W parts, extending into Albania.A
