    Orcan & Binzet (Pakistan J. Bot. 38: 931-933, 2006) reported Alyssum idaeum Boiss. & Heldr. from a locality in south central Anatolia. This record is disregarded since it seems unreliable and the presentation is utterly confused. Consequently, A. idaeum is still regarded as a Cretan endemic.
