Placement status: name or taxon excluded (unspecific) (Endemic to Croatia where it grows on saline ground near the sea, whereas G. tataricum is of Pontic-Mediterranean range and grows in xerophilous pastures in hilly regions. Both species have been reported from northern Greece, but it seems probable that all Greek records of the former are incorrect and refer to the latter (A. Strid).)
