    In Greece confined to Pe, Kik and KK (see map in Snogerup & Snogerup 2001: 220, fig. 5). Records from IoI, NPi, StE, EC, NE, NAe and EAe refer to B. subovatum which has been widely but taxonomically inadequately lumped to the former based on Tutin & al. (1968: 427; see also Dimopoulos & al. 2013: 174).
