Description
Suffruticose. Leaves large, oblong, abruptly acuminate with a blunt tip, cuneate at base, petioled. Flowers in a terminal spike; bracts and bracteoles large, conspicuous, colored; calyx lobes 5, equal; corolla narrowly hypocrateriform, upper lip minutely 2-lobed, lower lip 3-lobed; stamens 2, anthers 2-thecous; stigma subcapitate. Capsule clavate; 4-seeded.
