Malesia: East Java to Lesser Sunda Islands (Timor).

2. This is a very popular species in cultivation, with many different forms being offered commercially. 1 A polymorphic species. The infraspecific taxa have often been given specific status, but they hybridise easily under cultivation, producing many different intermediate forms.
