Description

Tree to 10 m, shoots glabrous except for the youngest parts. Leaves glabrous, chartaceous, broadly elliptic or elliptic, c. 5 by 2.5 cm, broadly cuneate at the base, rounded apex produced in a short obtuse apiculum; Inflorescence of terminal and lateral few-flowered cymes or flowers solitary.

Notes

Drupes black on a yellow receptacle. The glabrous, broad elliptic leaves suggest L. nitens, but are much smaller, and their short apiculum is obtuse.
