Description
Shrub to 4 m, with glabrous branches conspicu-ously swollen at the nodes.
Leaves elliptic or elliptic-oblong, 15-36 by 6-14 cm, chartaceous, base broadly cuneate or rounded, apex with a slender apiculum 1-2 cm long, entire, midrib and principal veins conspicuous below, arched ascending and uniting within the margin, glabrous or ± ephemeral min-ute pubescence on young foliage;
