Description

Tree c. 10 m. Leaves coriaceous, oblong, 12-20 by 3-7 cm, apex truncate, base attenuate; Inflorescences: Fruits 1 (or 2) per infructescence, ellipsoid-fusiform, 2-2.2 by 1.2-1.3 cm, ± acute at both ends, with dense rusty hairs 1-1.5 mm long;

Asia-Tropical: Sulawesi (Sulawesi present), Central: Malili-Oesoe present, N part of SE Peninsula: near Soroako present
Malesia: Sulawesi (Central: Malili-Oesoe; N part of SE Peninsula: near Soroako).

Notes

1 Although a member of the group of species with dotted leaves, K. celebica is obviously also related to K. tomentella; the latter differs in having sessile inflorescences, striate twigs, chartaceous (not coriaceous) leaves with a less prominent reticulation above, and a ± late glabrescent lower leaf surface without dots. 2 The leaf apices are very typically (variously) truncate.
