Notes
Brass 23774, from Milne Bay District, lacks capitate hairs, and also Braithwaite 4841 from the Solomon Islands; the latter also differs in longer stipes and less reduced basal pinnae. L. E. Cheesman 1227 from Waigeo Island has pinnae to 4.5 cm long, and a few capitate hairs.
