Java present
Assam, Siam, Indochina to Yunnan, Formosa, south-east to New Guinea and Micronesia; in Malaysia: Sumatra, Malay Peninsula, Banka, W. Java, Borneo, and New Guinea.

Notes

There are specimens which are intermediate between this species and L. flexuosum; they may be hybrids. L. salicifolium occurs only in regions with a short dry season, whereas L. flexuosum will tolerate a longer dry season and has a wider distribution. In Burma and Assam very large forms of both species occur.
