Description

Flowers c. 38-50 cm diam.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present), Jambi present, Riau present, W Sumatra present
Malesia: Sumatra (W Sumatra, Riau, Jambi), Peninsular Malaysia.

Notes

Of the six localities known four were located during the last 10 years. This species is closely related to Rafflesia cantleyi and seems to hybridize with it in the Malay Peninsula. The description was composed from the original one and from a few fragments of the type in L and some photographs. Most records come from pictures.
