Description
Tree, up to 22 m high, dbh up to 40 cm.
Branchlets terete, 1-1.5 cm in diam., greyish or silvery brown, when young sparsely yellowish brown tomentose to glabrous.
Leaves 4-10-jugate;
Inflorescences 20-70 cm long, minutely brown tomen-tose;
Sepals ovate to obovate to suborbicular, 3-4.5 by 2-4.5 mm.
Petals 4-7 mm long, claw 0.75-2.5 mm long, blade elliptic to sub-orbicular, 2.3-5 mm long, outside claw and base of blade glabrous or sericeous, claw (and basal 1/5 of the blade) densely long-ciliate, inside glabrous or claw sparsely hairy;
Stamens:
Fruits not or 3-lobed, often only 1 part developed, but sterile cells not visible, 1.8-2.5 by 1.8-3.5 cm, outside densely shortly brown velvety, corrugated.
Seeds globular-obovoid, 15 by 8-10 mm, hilum basal, small, circular.
