Description

Tree up to 10 m tall, often bushy and with crooked branches, hemi-epilithic, hemi-epiphytic, or terrestrial. internal hairs absent. Leaves spirally arranged; stipules 0.2-0.8 cm long, glabrous or white puberulous, caducous. Ovary dark red.

Taxonomy

This species is closely related to F. saxophila, from which it differs in the presence of short peduncles and absence of indumentum on the basal and ostiolar bracts.
