Description

Leaves chartaceous, elliptic-oblong, 13-28 by 5.5-10 cm, base rounded, apex acute-acuminate; Inflorescences sessile.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Thailand (Thailand present), Central Sumatra present, Indragiri present
Possibly Thailand, and Malesia: Central Sumatra (Indragiri).

Taxonomy

Known only from the type collection. Closely related to subsp. kunstleri, though distinguishable by a stout habit, with the twigs considerably thicker and the leaves much larger, with a more brownish drying colour; the contrasting paler venation absent. The male flowers are similar to those of subsp. kunstleri.
