Description

Small to medium-sized tree, 4-7.5(-13) m high, 5-12 cm in diam. Leaves (1- or) 2- or 3-jugate, the rachis projected into a 2 cm long, caducous, filiform prolongation beyond the upper pair of leaflets in unfolding buds; rachis 1.5-4 cm and petiole 0.5-0.9 cm, both hairy. Stipules only found together with the young limp leaves, 13-17 by 2-3 mm, ending in a filiform acumen 10-17 mm long, very early caducous, leaving no scar. Inflorescences up to 3 cm long, the rachis 1-2 cm, densely hairy; bracts 0.2-2.2 cm long, sparsely hairy, glabrescent; bracteoles 0.3-1.2 cm long; pedicels (5-) 9-15 mm. Flowers white to pink. Sepals 7-10 mm, loosely hairy. Petals 7-10 mm long, occasionally hairy at tip. Stamens 15-18, not connate at the base; filaments 8 mm, sometimes with a few hairs; anthers apiculate. Ovary 3-5 by 2-2.5 mm, sparsely hairy or glabrous, stipe 2-4 mm; style 8-14 mm glabrous. Fruits 3.2 by 2.3 by 0.8-1 cm.
