Primary tabs

Horsfieldia subtilis var. calcarea

Description

Leaves thinly chartaceous, elliptic, 6-9 by 2.5-4 cm, at the apex proportionally long-acute-acuminate for 1-1.5 cm. Fruits ellipsoid, 1.7-1.9 by 1.2-1.4 cm, including pseudostalk 2-3 mm long.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical, SW Bird's Head present, W Papua Barat present
Malesia: W Papua Barat (SW Bird's Head).

Notes

The dry pericarp in BW 15270 (Wink) suggests that the fruits were rather fleshy in the fresh state and drying left the pseudostalks distinct, 3 mm long.
