Notes

This species is similar to D. glaucescens var. blumeanum, except for the somewhat longer shape of the blades. Daphniphyllum plants of higher elevations such as 1700-1800 m possess smaller oblong-elliptic blades and smooth drupes while those of lower elevations such as 1100-1675 m appear to have long oblong-elliptic blades and tuberculate drupes. All of them have thick membranous blades with more or less prominent reticulate venation on both surfaces.
