Notes

Treated by Barlow (1974) as conspecific with Sogerianthe sessiliflora, but examination of additional material of the latter confirms the differences recognized by Danser. Closely related to S. sessiliflora, differing in longer, acuminate leaves brown tomentose on the underside, and ferrugineous corolla finely acute in bud.
