Content
Description
Tree to 15 m tall, trunk to 20 cm dbh;
Leaves:
Inflorescence mostly few-flowered, sometimes many-flowered, 8-30 cm long, glabrous;
Flowers poor or pleasant smelling.
Stamens inserted high in the corolla tube;
Ovaries 1-2 mm high, glabrous.
Fruit of free to united carpels (these may be present on a single tree) up to 12 by 15 by 10 cm, small when not fused, green to yellowish, with pale brown warts.
Seeds with an orange aril, 8-13 by 4-7 by 3-6 mm.
