Description
Deviates from the former subspecies in having glabrous ovary; like subsp. micro- calyx it has small sepals, 4-5 mm long and short but distinctly clawed petals, 15-35 mm long.
Distribution
Asia-Tropical: Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia), Upper Burma endemic
Endemic to upper Burma, now introduced in the Malay Peninsula.
Uses
A rapid growing ornamental.
