Trimezia martinicensis

Description

Glabrous herb, 100-150 cm. Leaves basal to cauline, linear, 20-100 cm long and 8-12 mm wide. Inflorescences in 3-6-flowered cymes, solitary or binate; Flowers yellow, brownish at the base. Stamens 3-4 mm long. Ovary ellipsoidal; Capsule ellipsoid, 13-20 mm long. Seeds brown, superficially ribbed.

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Malaya, Northern America, West Java
Native of Mexico, cultivated and locally naturalized in Malesia: Malaya, West Java.
