Description
Woody lianas with opposite, entire leaves, usually bearing stellate hairs.
Dioecious, with lateral or terminal cymose panicles or pleiochasia.
Distribution
Asia-Tropical: New Guinea present, Australasia: Queensland (Queensland present), E. Sulawesi present
Australia and Malesia: 11 spp. in New Guinea, of which 3 may also occur in Queensland and one extends to E. Sulawesi. Three further species have been described from Australia.
