Description

Climber. Branchlets strongly angled, not lenticellate, glabrous. Leaves in whorls of 4 or 5; Inflorescence axillary, large lax panicles frequently branched, delicate, glabrous, 3.5-7 cm long; Fruit orange, stalks 1.7-3.8 mm long, with 1 or 2 articles in each string, glabrous, articles dry smooth or with thin flesh, 5.3-7.3 by 4.8-6.2 mm, globose, subglobose or cylindrical, symmetrical, apex rounded or apiculate. Seeds ovoid, 4.7-9.8 by 4-4.4 by 3.7-4.1 mm.

Asia-Tropical: New Guinea present, Manus Island present
Malesia: New Guinea (Manus Island).

Taxonomy

This is a rather poorly known species close to A. rostrata.
