Description

Glabrous perennial with short rhizome. Leaves basal, shorter than the stems, very narrow, rather abruptly acuminate, smooth, or slightly scabrid at the top, ⅔-1 mm wide; Inflorescence usually consisting of a single terminal spikelet, more rarely 1(-2) peduncled lateral spikelets added. Stamens 2-3;

Distribution

Asia-Tropical: Malaya (Peninsular Malaysia present, Singapore present), Kanga present, Kedah present, P. Langkawi present, Pantropical present, Pedis present
Pantropical; throughout Malesia, but apparently very rare in the Malay Peninsula (Pedis: Kanga; Kedah: P. Langkawi; Singapore).
